We provide homeschool students with outstanding musical training and academic enrichment built on a Biblical foundation.

Shiloh Christian Music Academy

What can we offer you at the SCMA?

  • We provide 2 hour and 15 minute K - 5 general music classes.

  • General music students attend class twice per week

  • General music classes include enrichment in math, English, science, art, and PE.

    Based upon interest, we may also offer:

  • Orchestra (choice of violin or cello)

  • Band (choice of flute, clarinet, sax, trumpet, trombone, tuba, or percussion)

  • Contemporary Instruments (each student learns piano, guitar, and drum kit)

    Where is the academy located?

  • The SCMA is located in the Lakeside Event Center at 811 20th Avenue in Longview,

    formally the Kid's World Learning Center. It is situated on the south end of Lake Sacajawea, across from Kessler Elementary School.

    When are the classes available?

  • We offer Fall and Spring semesters. For more information, see our calendar page.

  • Grades K-2 (about 5 to 7 years old): Mondays & Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:15 AM

  • Grades 3-5 (about 8 to 10 years old): Mondays and Thursdays from 12:00 to 2:15 PM

  • The SCMA Summer Music Camp typically begins mid-June into July for ages 10-12.

    How much do the classes cost?

  • Our classes cost approximately $10 per instructional hour, to be paid for by the month or by the semester (receive a 10% discount).

    Why is the SCMA a good choice?

  • The SCMA offer offers instruction in both instrumental and vocal music.

  • We teach musical literacy, the ability to read and write music.

  • Each general music student (K-5) learns to play piano, guitar, and the drum kit

  • General music students learn music history, appreciation, and theory.

  • The SCMA offers academic enrichment in math, language arts, art and PE.

  • Is it difficult to motivate your student? End the "tug-of-war" and work together with your student to achieve your weekly academic homeschool goals! [Motivation]

  • Annual Christmas and Spring concerts, featuring choral and instrument music

  • For general music classes, prior to the concert, there will be an 'Student Showcase', featuring student art, language arts, math, and science exhibits in the classroom.

  • The SCMA holds the Bible as the standard for the development of character. We do all things for the glory of Jesus Christ.
